Here's a simplified crank angle sensor circuit wiring diagram for the 1995 2.4L Nissan Pickup. The crank angle sensor is located inside the distributor.
The crank angle sensor is the defacto crankshaft position sensor that the fuel injection computer uses to trigger the power transistor. The crank angle sensor is also called the camshaft position sensor.
